Hello!
Hope you are having a wonderful day! We are excited about the upcoming big day as we break ground for our new Shul and welcome a new Torah Scroll.
Here are just a few bits of information you might need to know to make this event a smooth success:
- Please make a special effort to be there on time (or five minutes early) as the celebration will G-d willing begin promptly at 3:00 PM!
- Parking is available at the Professional Development Center (dinner location) at 6501 N. 23rd, Tacoma. It's just a short 1/2 block way from the site of the groundbreaking. Please keep in mind: 24th will be closed to traffic. Please use alternate routes. (scroll down for a map.)
- In accordance with Jewish tradition, a Torah completion ceremony is likened to a wedding between G-d and the Jewish people. (hence the chuppah escort!) To properly honor the Torah and the significance of the occasion, formal attire is recommended and encouraged.
